Owl City Music Box Set
The Owl City Music Box Set was created for Graphic Design IV and Graphic Design Portfolio. The box set was to celebrate the 15th anniversary of Owl City in 2022 and introduce Owl City to new fans. The albums and catalog for Owl City go from a sleeping state to a waking up state to show what it feels like to have insomnia because the singer Adam Young struggles with insomnia. The music box set is described as imaginative, energetic, light and dreamy. The album colors are inspired by the sunrise when Adam wakes up in the morning. The album is illustrative and childlike because children’s dreams are playful. The imagery from his lyrics about the sky, dreams, memories and insomnia are included into the music box set.
CD Booklet
The first album Sky is when Adam is trying to fall asleep. The inspiration for Sky is from the song “Fireflies.”
The second album Mind is when Adam is experiencing insomnia. Mind’s inspiration is from the song “Strawberry Avalanche.”
The third album Memories is when Adam is waking up and trying to remember his memories and dreams. Memories inspiration is from the song “Unbelievable.”
